A few final details added, spark plugs and HT leads, some materials tweaked and a logos applied to the seat and timing case. I've used a couple of bump map for the seat texture. She's ready to ride!

Here are some test renders of the finished model. I'm really happy with the result but I can see a few small details I'll need to add before I can call it done!

Geometry complete
The main geometry of the bike is now complete. Finishing touches included foot controls, numberplate, handlebars and grips. The carb was a great little modeling challenge in itself.

Exhausting times
The bikes exhaust has been built around two CV curves, extruded and joined. The Rocket Goldstar had a very distinctive 'siamesed' exhaust. It took a fair bit of fettling to join the two sets of geometry.

Engine work
Happy New Year to everyone in the Blogosphere! Well, i've made a start on the most daunting part of the build...the engine! At the heart of the BSA Rocket Goldstar beats an A10 650cc parallel twin. I based these main engine parts on polygon primitives, with alot of extruding to get the finning correct. I'll add more detailing as I go, but for now its on to the timing cover and gear box.
