Merry Christmas Little Bear

Happy Christmas Little Bear from oliver brown on Vimeo.
Here's the finished animation. I added in my Little Bear rig from earlier in the year. Little Bear's wooly hat has a bobble made using a polygon sphere with a displacement map applied.
I spent a lot of time wrangling the lighting of the render till I was happy with it.
The moving camera is constrained to a motion path curving around the building, but its aim fixed on the building.

Bear rigged

Have had great fun rigging the bear up for animation. Found some great tutorials for adding controls to the rig, including custom attributes for feet and fingers.

Here's a little bear character i've modelled for a rigging exercise.
I'm planning on doing a full rig /skin with IK handles etc.

Bear in Flash

Using the same Illustrator artwork as the previous Bear test, this time fed into Flash rather than Celaction. A different feel altogether!

Bear head

I thought i'd have a go at modelling a head, so heres a little brown bear. Modelling this was pretty straightforward except for the muzzle which took quite a bit of fiddling to get right. I wanted to keep everything quite smooth and cartoony for this one.
